Honestly, I'm really not into mainstream or modern music for that matter, but Vampire Weekend have blown me away. Anyone else enjoy 'em? Their latest album, Contra, is the best modern album I've ever heard!

Good idea! It was tough to pick a favourite from Contra, but I think I've listened to this one the most:
I also love the whole Contra theme of the album, too. Don't know a lot about the history behind it, but the lyrics are really brilliant.

Aw, c'mon, you mean you can't discern any similarity in the melodies?
Try comparing 0:49 in "Horchata" to 0:32 in "Girl in Byakkoya".
