Baked/Jacket Potatoes and the potato in general

I just cooked my first 'proper' jacket potato. In the past I have basically relied on the microwave to achieve this, which merely produces wizened potatoes. This time I finished it in the oven AND gave it time to actually grow said jacket and fuckme it was amazing. A whole different experience. And how!

Let us now sing the praises of the potato.

I like white potatoes in stew and sweet potatoes any ol' way. When I was in New York last year, I found dried sweet potato in a China town shop. Nums!
